Apple’s AI Approach and Financial Performance
Apple Inc. (NASDAQ: AAPL) is notably not investing heavily in artificial intelligence technologies, opting instead to outsource AI development for its products, including improvements to its Siri virtual assistant via Google’s Gemini. As a result, its stocks have increased by about 6% year-to-date, trailing the S&P 500.
Financially, Apple reported $111 billion in revenue for fiscal Q2 2026, with significant contributions from iPhones and services, which accounted for $88 billion. iPhone sales rose by 22%, while services revenue increased by 17%. However, Apple’s valuation remains high, trading at 35 times trailing earnings and 33 times forward earnings.
