Blue Lagoon, Lake Babine Nation ink deal to start underground mining at Dome Mountain

Well, well, well, it looks like Blue Lagoon and Lake Babine Nation are teaming up to turn Dome Mountain into a treasure trove of riches! Lake Babine Nation Chief Murphy Abraham is all smiles, as Blue Lagoon has sought the Nation’s consent for this project. It’s all about doing business the right way on their ‘yintah’, and Chief Murphy Abraham is eagerly anticipating a successful and sustainable restart of the Dome Mine.

And, oh boy, is Blue Lagoon honored! President and CEO Rana Vig is as excited as a kid in a candy store to be accepted by the Lake Babine Nation as a trusted partner. Vig promises to not only meet but exceed the terms of the agreement. Now that’s what I call commitment!

No bumpy roads here! The Dome Mountain gold project is accessible year-round by road. Both an environmental management act permit and a mining permit are in place, giving the green light to mine up to 75,000 tonnes of ore annually.

Hold onto your hats! There are 15 known high-grade veins on the property, packed to the brim with gold and silver. An estimated measured resource of 135,000 tonnes stands at 10.32 g/t gold and 57.31 g/t silver. An indicated resource of 662,000 tonnes grades at 8.14 g/t gold and 41.19 g/t silver, and an inferred resource of 85,000 tonnes boasts 6.02 g/t gold and 26.13 g/t silver. Talk about hitting the jackpot!
