Denison Mines (NYSE:DNN) announced on Wednesday that it has entered into a shared prosperity agreement with the English River First Nation (ERFN) to support the development and operation of the Wheeler River Project in Saskatchewan.
By signing the SPA, Denison (DNN) and ERFN mark a significant milestone in their relationship and the progress of the Wheeler River project.
The agreement recognizes that the project is situated within ERFN’s ancestral lands, granting Denison (DNN) their consent to move forward with the project. It also emphasizes ERFN’s role as the custodian of their culture, customs, and values regarding the environment and its members, reflecting their commitment to sustainability.
The Wheeler River Project, Denison’s (DNN) flagship undertaking, is the largest undeveloped uranium project in the eastern part of Saskatchewan’s Athabasca Basin region.
