Shinnecock Indian Nation’s Little Beach Harvest Celebrates Store Opening
In another corner of New York, the Shinnecock Indian Nation marked the grand opening of Little Beach Harvest on November 15, a 5,000-square-foot cannabis dispensary located in Southampton. The shop, the first tribally-owned and operated cannabis dispensary in Suffolk County, was hailed by Chenae Bullock, the managing director, for honoring the sacred plant and contributing to the economic sustainability of the tribal nation.
Good Grades Re-Opens In Jamaica, Queens
Meanwhile, in Jamaica, Queens, Good Grades, New York’s first woman-owned recreational cannabis dispensary, reopened its doors after a $1 million renovation. The 4,000 sq. ft. dispensary, dedicated to providing educational information and tools about cannabis consumption, is aiming to encourage the community to make informed choices about cannabis.
Ohio’s New Cannabis Store Opens As Voters Approve Weed Legalization
In Ohio, the passage of voter-approved Initiative Issue 2, legalizing adult-use cannabis, has sparked the introduction of House Bill 341 by the Republican-led state General Assembly. As the state lawmakers contemplate adjustments to the legislation, AYR Wellness Inc. announced the opening of AYR Dispensary Dayton, the third AYR location in Ohio and the first in Dayton. The 5,500 sq. ft. store, located at 4918 Airway Road, Riverside, Ohio 45431, aims to provide a premium cannabis experience in the Dayton Metropolitan Area.
Cannabis Retail Giant Expands In Canada
High Tide Inc. has expanded its footprint in Canada with the opening of two new Canna Cabana stores, one at 20th Street West in Saskatoon and the other at 481 River Avenue in Winnipeg, Manitoba. These new openings follow the acquisition of assets from Canadian Cannabis Media Corp., including a store located at 1208 Davie Street in Vancouver for $1.33 million. High Tide’s expansion brings the total number of Canna Cabana retail cannabis stores in British Columbia to 8, the maximum allowed to operate by any one entity in the province.
