Southwest Gas (NYSE:SWX) revealed on Monday that it has acquiesced to the nomination of four Carl Icahn designees to its board, marking a significant shift in the company’s leadership. The amended agreement outlines the terms for the termination of the standstill restriction on the Icahn Group.
Consequently, Southwest Gas (SWX) announced that it will nominate Andrew Evans, Henry Linginfelter, Ruby Sharma, and Andrew Teno as Icahn designees for the upcoming election at the 2024 annual shareholders meeting.
The company also revealed that Paul Daily is set to retire as President and CEO of its Centuri Group subsidiary in 2024. Additionally, Southwest Gas is actively progressing the previously announced process for the subsidiary’s separation.
