Stanley Druckenmiller’s Investment Moves

Billionaire investor Stanley Druckenmiller sold his position in Nvidia (NASDAQ: NVDA) by late 2024 after purchasing 582,915 shares in late 2022. The stock surged over 600% from November 30, 2022, through Q3 2024, leading Druckenmiller to call the sale a “big mistake” during an interview in October 2024. He has since shifted focus to other technology stocks.

In Q1 2026, his Duquesne Family Office acquired 195,955 shares of Broadcom (NASDAQ: AVGO), 411,400 shares of Intel (NASDAQ: INTC), and 106,700 shares of Arm Holdings (NASDAQ: ARM). These investments suggest a strategy to capitalize on the evolving AI infrastructure, moving away from Nvidia’s GPUs toward custom silicon and CPUs suitable for inference workloads.

Druckenmiller’s new holdings reflect a belief that the AI industry will increasingly shift towards efficient, low-cost alternatives for running models in real time, as major tech firms like Alphabet, Amazon, and Microsoft make substantial investments in this area.
