Tesla and Apple: A Look at Next Week’s Stock Activity

Hey there, folks! With U.S. stock futures trading higher this morning on Tuesday, it looks like we’re in for an interesting day in the world of stocks. Let’s take a look at some of the stocks that may grab investor focus today.

Good ol’ Tesla Inc TSLA has been causing quite a stir with over 20,000 of its cars registered in Sweden so far this year. And get this, this is happening while the ongoing workers’ strike against the company nears 2 months. Despite this, Tesla shares had a little slip and fell 0.8% to close at $252.54 on Friday.

Now, let’s talk about Apple Inc. AAPL. Word on the street is that they’re discussing licensing their content with several news and publishing firms to boost their generative artificial intelligence. Sounds exciting, right? It looks like Apple shares fell 0.6% to close at $193.60 on Friday.

Now, switching gears a bit, Sentage Holdings Inc. SNTG reported a loss of 46 cents per share in the six months ended June 30, 2023, versus a year-ago loss of 41 cents per share. Its total operating revenue came in at $82, versus $0.18 million for the same period of the previous year. Sentage shares decided to take a little dip, falling 5.1% to $1.69 in the after-hours trading session. Yeah, not the best news, but hey, we win some, we lose some, right?

Oh, did I tell you about Versus Systems VS? They came out and reported a 1-for-16 reverse stock split, effective as of the close of trading on Dec. 28, 2023. Versus Systems shares fell 5.6% to $0.1647 in the after-hours trading session. Hmm, looks like a bumpy ride for them at the moment.

And last but not least, Cadre Holdings, Inc. CDRE has some big plans – they announced plans to acquire ICOR Technology Inc. I guess we’ll have to wait and see how this pans out. Cadre shares gained 0.1% to $32.39 in the after-hours trading session. Well, well, looks like they’re cooking up something interesting over there.
