Thunder Power Holdings Announces Delisting from Nasdaq, Pursues OTCQB Listing
Application Process Underway for OTCQB Listing
WILMINGTON, Del., April 20, 2025 /PRNewswire/ — Thunder Power Holdings, Inc. AIEV (“Thunder Power” or the “Company”) is a technology innovator focused on developing premium passenger Electric Vehicles (EVs). The Company aims to fill strategic gaps in the EV sector with a diversified approach across the clean energy value chain. Recently, it received notification from The Nasdaq Stock Market LLC (“Nasdaq”) regarding its delisting after a hearing held on April 15, 2025, due to a failure to meet continued listing standards.
Consequently, Thunder Power’s common shares are set to trade under the symbol AIEV on the OTC Pink Open Market, operated by the OTC Markets Group, beginning on April 21, 2025. The Company is actively applying to list on the OTCQB Venture Market (the “OTCQB”). If approved, this will mark an uplist from OTC-Pink to the OTCQB. Thunder Power emphasizes that this change in listing is not expected to impact its business operations or the reporting requirements mandated by the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).
Christopher Nicoll, Chief Executive Officer of Thunder Power, noted, “Following our recent transition from the Nasdaq Global Market to the Nasdaq Capital Market on March 28, 2025, the unexpected delisting notification was surprising. We remain focused on executing our M&A activities and plan to reapply for a Nasdaq listing in the future.”
He added, “We look forward to receiving shareholder and regulatory approvals concerning our share exchange with Electric Power Technology Limited (EPTL) (TWSE:4529). We anticipate beginning revenue generation in 2025, further diversifying Thunder Power as a green energy solution provider. This partnership with EPTL is a strategic step to enhance our capabilities and enter adjacent environmentally-sustainable markets as we work to launch our EVs. Upon completing the EPTL transaction, we will continue exploring additional strategic M&A opportunities in the growing green energy sector throughout 2025 and beyond.”
