# AI Agents Are Transforming Tech: Key Developments from Amazon and Apple

In today’s digital landscape, the emergence of AI agents is revolutionizing the way we interact with technology. Gone are the days of being stuck in customer service queues, replaced by autonomous systems designed to handle tasks traditionally done by humans.

Understanding AI: Generative vs. Agentic

We are familiar with “generative” artificial intelligence, which creates content like texts, images, and videos. Examples include chatbots like ChatGPT, Google’s Gemini, and Claude. In contrast, “agentic” AI encompasses systems that can make autonomous decisions and take action independently. These AI agents can manage tasks like personal assistance or customer service, reducing the need for human oversight.

Agentic AI is rapidly advancing, and its influence is growing. Recently, Amazon.com Inc. (AMZN) entered the AI agent space with Nova Act, an innovative model designed to execute tasks within web browsers. Unlike traditional chatbots that simply respond to inputs, Nova Act operates autonomously, performing actions on its own.

Amazon’s Nova Act: A Game-Changer in AI

Amazon’s launch of a “research preview” for Nova Act allows select developers to create AI agents that can handle everyday responsibilities, such as submitting time-off requests and managing calendars. The company claims Nova Act boasts over 90% accuracy in tasks that typically challenge AI models, like date selection and pop-up handling.

An Amazon spokesperson stated, “Our dream is for agents to perform wide-ranging, complex, multi-step tasks.” They envision a future where AI assists with intricate activities, from planning weddings to managing IT tasks for businesses, without constant human monitoring.

Moreover, Nova Act is already integrated into Alexa+, where it browses websites and completes tasks when direct software connections are unavailable.

Apple’s Vision with Project Mulberry

In a competitive move, Apple Inc. (AAPL) is also developing its own AI agent under the codename “Project Mulberry,” or “Health+.” This service aims to monitor health data from devices like the iPhone and Apple Watch, offering personalized health recommendations based on the analysis of that data.

Apple is assembling a specialist team of healthcare professionals to create informational videos that the AI agent could reference to assess concerning trends in users’ data. This initiative is a top priority within Apple’s Healthcare division, targeting a potential release as early as spring or summer 2026.

Business Applications: Embracing AI Agents

AI agents are not only reshaping consumer interactions but are also revolutionizing business operations through partnerships with major tech companies. One notable collaboration involves International Business Machines Corp. (IBM), which has teamed up with one of my investment recommendations to enhance its Watsonx AI platform.

IBM’s Watsonx Orchestrate aims to support multi-agent workflows, enabling customers to manage AI agents across various business processes. Initially, this will be deployed in human resources, where agents will perform AI inferencing with customer data. A significant release is anticipated on a major cloud platform this July.

IBM’s partner in this initiative is a notable player in the agentic AI space, actively working on integrating these systems into their offerings.

Conclusion: The Future of AI Agents

The race to develop AI agents is rapidly changing our technological landscape. Understanding these advancements provides insights into potential investment opportunities. Monitoring companies that lead in the agentic AI domain could be key to securing a profitable portfolio in the future.

Looking Ahead in AI Innovations

Agentic AI represent a significant step towards what is referred to as artificial general intelligence (AGI). While not equivalent to AGI, agentic AI is a foundational element on the path toward achieving human-like cognitive abilities in technology.

As the progression toward AGI continues, it’s essential for investors to prepare for the transformative opportunities it presents. Positioning oneself strategically can lead to substantial financial advantages, possibly exceeding those seen during the Internet Revolution.

In light of ongoing developments, I will share critical insights in an upcoming broadcast titled “The Road to AGI: Final Warning.” This will address potential impacts of AGI and identify key companies poised to benefit from this transformative wave in technology.
