As of the latest USDA Crop Progress report, 94% of corn is emerged nationwide, matching the five-year average. The overall corn condition rating improved by 1 point to 72% good/excellent, though certain states like Indiana and Iowa saw declines of 4 points, while Nebraska improved by 8 points.
Scattered rains are expected across the Corn Belt over the next week, according to NOAA’s 7-day QPF.
