Meta Platforms has introduced enhanced privacy features across its Family of Apps—Facebook, Instagram, Messenger, and WhatsApp. In Q1 2025, Meta reported over 3.43 billion daily active users, with 98.8% of its revenues coming from advertising. New safety measures for teens include account protections, safety notices, and nudity protection by default, all enacted to build trust among younger users.

In early 2025, Meta removed 135,000 harmful accounts and has expanded its Teen Accounts program across all platforms. The company expects its advertising revenues for Q2 2025 to grow by 12% year-over-year, reaching $42.9 billion, indicating continued growth within a competitive advertising landscape led by Amazon and Microsoft.

As of now, Meta shares have risen 21.7% year-to-date, outperforming other tech indices. Analysts project earnings for 2025 at $25.71 per share, reflecting a 7.75% year-over-year growth rate.
