Key Highlights of Berkshire Hathaway’s Stock Activities in 2025
Berkshire Hathaway, led by Warren Buffett, was a net seller of stocks in the first half of 2025, primarily due to significant sales of its holdings in Apple (NASDAQ: AAPL) and Bank of America (NYSE: BAC). During this period, Berkshire acquired approximately 6.6 million shares of Nucor (NYSE: NUE), valued at $857 million, and 7 million shares of Lennar (NYSE: LEN), valued at $780 million, among others. The investment in UnitedHealth Group (NYSE: UNH) reached $1.57 billion with over 5 million shares purchased.
Additionally, Berkshire increased its stakes in existing investments, such as Chevron (NYSE: CVX), to a total value of $17.5 billion after acquiring 3.4 million additional shares in the second quarter.
