USDA Wholesale Boxed Beef prices were varied, with Choice boxes down 37 cents at $370.66 and Select boxes decreasing by $2.46 to $349.71, leading to a narrowed Chc/Sel spread of $20.95. For Tuesday, the USDA estimated federally inspected cattle slaughter at 120,000 head, pushing the weekly total to 233,000 head, an increase of 2,000 head from the previous week but 11,646 head lower than the same week in 2024.
