Cotton Rises from Morning Lows Despite Wednesday Decline

On Wednesday, cotton futures experienced losses of 30 to 50 points across most contracts. The U.S. dollar index decreased by $0.034 to $97.485, while crude oil fell by 44 cents.

In Tuesday’s online auction from The Seam, 942 sales were recorded at an average price of 63.62 cents per pound. The Cotlook A Index dropped 80 points to 76.90 cents, and certified ICE cotton stocks increased by 2,417 bales to 17,891 bales as of September 30. USDA’s Adjusted World Price (AWP) decreased by 41 points to 54.38 cents per pound, valid through Thursday.
