Soybean export inspections for the week ending October 2 reported a total of 768,117 metric tons (28.22 million bushels) shipped, a 25.8% increase from the previous week but a 52.8% decline from the same week last year. The largest buyers included Mexico (217,599 metric tons), Egypt (181,571 metric tons), and Pakistan (115,038 metric tons). Year-to-date, shipments total 3.03 million metric tons (111.37 million bushels), down 14.8% compared to the same period last year, with reduced purchases from China impacting seasonal shipment spikes.

As of October 5, U.S. soybean harvest is estimated to be 39% complete; however, no update was provided by NASS due to the government shutdown. Soybean planting in Brazil reached 9% as of Thursday, exceeding last year’s 4%. Brazil’s soybean exports in September totaled 7.34 million metric tons, reflecting a 21.39% drop from August but a 20.15% increase year-over-year.

As of the close on Monday, November 2025 soybeans were down 1/4 cent at $10.17 3/4, January 2026 at $10.35 3/4 down 1 1/4 cents, and March 2026 at $10.51 down 1 1/4 cents.
