As of midday Friday, shares in the Services sector are up 0.9%, with lululemon athletica inc (LULU) rising 17.7% and Ulta Beauty Inc (ULTA) increasing 9.5%. Year-to-date, lululemon is down 20.63% and Ulta down 12.18%. The iShares U.S. Consumer Services ETF (IYC), which includes LULU and ULTA, is up 1.1% today and 33.24% year-to-date.
The Technology & Communications sector also shows a 0.9% increase. Hewlett Packard Enterprise Co (HPE) has gained 11.0% while Super Micro Computer Inc (SMCI) is up 7.4%. Year-to-date, HPE has increased by 43.88% and SMCI by 55.43%. The Technology Select Sector SPDR ETF (XLK) is up 0.6% today and 25.91% year-to-date.
