Ford Motor Company is recalling 108,762 vehicles in the United States due to a potential issue with the liftgate hinge cover that may detach. This recall affects specific 2020-2022 Escape models and the 2025 Escape, with 6,412 units from the 2025 model year included.
The affected vehicles were produced between December 2, 2024, and April 1, 2025, for the 2025 models, and from November 13, 2018, to April 5, 2022, for the earlier models. Ford will address the issue at no cost to owners by checking, reinstalling, or replacing the faulty hinge covers.
In addition to the Escape, Ford is recalling nearly 12,000 Lincoln MKT vehicles from model years 2016-2019 due to loose B-pillar door trim that could increase crash risks.
