Netflix’s 2025 Performance Highlights
Netflix (NASDAQ: NFLX) significantly evolved its business model in 2025, reporting a revenue of $11.5 billion in Q3, an increase of 17.2% year-over-year. The company introduced an ad-supported tier that reached 190 million monthly active viewers, marking it as a crucial element in Netflix’s growth strategy.
In Q3 2025, Netflix’s operating margin exceeded expectations at 31.5%, up from 29.6% the previous year. The company’s free cash flow also increased by 21%, driven by effective content spending and operational efficiencies. However, Netflix stopped disclosing quarterly subscriber numbers, raising concerns about transparency amid an expanding business model that includes new ventures into live sports and gaming.
