Wheat Blends Noted During Monday’s Midday Update

The wheat market is experiencing mixed trends as of Monday, with Chicago Soft Red Winter (SRW) futures down 3 to 4 cents while Kansas City Hard Red Winter (HRW) futures are down 4 to 5 cents. In contrast, Minneapolis Spring wheat futures are showing slight gains, up 1 to 2 cents. Current prices include Mar 26 CBOT Wheat at $5.15 and May 26 CBOT Wheat at $5.27.

According to the USDA, wheat export shipments totaled 302,096 metric tons (11.1 million bushels) for the week ending December 25, marking a 52.47% decline from the previous week and 11.12% lower than the same week in 2024. Bangladesh was the largest destination, receiving 115,946 metric tons, followed by Thailand with 68,589 metric tons and the Dominican Republic with 44,311 metric tons. Since June 1, 2025/26 marketing year exports have reached 15.06 million metric tons (553.5 million bushels), which is a 22.02% increase compared to last year.

The weather forecast for the next week indicates little precipitation across much of the Plains, with only light, localized totals expected in SRW regions following weekend events.
