As of 2026, precious metals continue to see impressive gains, with gold prices increasing over 70% and silver soaring more than 194% since 2024. Key global catalysts for gold’s rise include ongoing geopolitical tensions, increased central bank and institutional buying, and concerns about fiscal policies.

According to the World Gold Council, gold ETFs recorded $89 billion in inflows in 2025, doubling assets under management to $559 billion. The Silver Institute noted that inflows into silver ETFs surpassed the previous year’s figures in just the first half of 2025.

Looking ahead, analysts predict silver could reach $100 per ounce in 2026, while funds like the abrdn Physical Precious Metals Basket Shares ETF (GLTR) and the Sprott Active Gold & Silver Miners ETF (GBUG) have shown substantial yearly gains of nearly 108% and 137%, respectively.
