Cotton prices increased by 8 to 12 points on Wednesday, following a decline of 22 to 32 points on Tuesday. The January 19 online auction from The Seam reported sales at 60.43 cents per pound for 1,971 bales, while the Cotlook A Index remained unchanged at 74.80 cents. ICE certified cotton stocks are steady at 11,029 bales.
Additionally, the Adjusted World Price for cotton rose by 20 points to 51.17 cents per pound as of Thursday. Crude oil futures rose by $1.09 to $60.53 per barrel, and the US dollar index fell by $0.836 to 98.365.
