Soybean contracts trading closed on Tuesday with prices increasing by 5 to 6 cents, resulting in a nearby cash bean price of $9.99 1/2, which was up 6 1/4 cents. The March 26 soybeans closed at $10.67 1/4, reflecting an increase of 5 1/2 cents, while May 26 and July 26 soybeans closed at $10.79 1/2 and $10.92 1/2, respectively, both gaining 5 to 5 1/2 cents.
In global trade, Brazil’s soybean exports for January are projected at 3.23 million metric tons (MMT), down 0.56 MMT from last week but still a significant increase compared to 1.07 MMT during the same period in January 2025. Meanwhile, EU soybean imports have reached 7.06 MMT from July 1 to January 23, a decrease from 8.15 MMT for the same timeframe last year.
