Nvidia to Launch Vera Rubin Platform by 2026
Nvidia (NASDAQ: NVDA) plans to begin shipping its next-generation Vera Rubin platform in the second half of 2026, which includes the Rubin GPU and Vera CPU among other components. This new architecture aims to improve AI performance significantly—reducing GPU requirements by 75% and inference token costs by 90% compared to its previous Blackwell Ultra architecture.
Strong Financial Performance and Future Growth
In fiscal 2026, Nvidia reported revenues of $215.9 billion, a 65% increase from the previous year, driven largely by a 68% rise in data center sales. The company forecasts first-quarter 2027 revenue at $78 billion, projecting a 77% year-over-year growth. CEO Jensen Huang indicated that spending on AI data center infrastructure could escalate to $4 trillion annually by 2030, highlighting the growing demand for AI technologies.
