Archer Aviation (NYSE: ACHR) is focusing on electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) aircraft, with its Midnight model in testing. Despite a recent 33% decline in share prices, the stock has increased by 150% in the last year. The company aims to launch its first commercial air taxi service in Abu Dhabi by late 2025 or early 2026, with one Midnight aircraft already delivered and more in production.
As part of its strategy, Archer Aviation has also established partnerships in Ethiopia and Indonesia and plans to extend services to California and New York, including exclusivity as the air taxi provider for the 2028 Olympics. Regulatory approvals are critical for the company, as successful deployment in Abu Dhabi is expected to pave the way for further expansion and market acceptance.
