On Wednesday, cotton futures declined by 5 to 13 points, with May 26 closing at 65.17 cents, down 13 points, July 26 at 67.08 cents, down 9 points, and October 26 at 68.88 cents, down 11 points. The Cotlook A Index rose by 45 points to 75.20 cents on Tuesday, while certified cotton stocks decreased by 533 bales to 121,453 bales as of March 10. The Adjusted World Price also fell by 40 points to 51.44 cents per pound.
Additionally, crude oil prices increased by $5.44 amid ongoing tensions in Iran, despite the International Energy Agency agreeing to release 400 million barrels from reserves. The US dollar index rose by $0.446, reaching $99.255.
