The notable investments include Amazon, Visa, and Chubb, which represent 0.70%, 1%, and 2.9% of the portfolio, respectively. As of 2024, Amazon’s revenue is growing at an 18% CAGR, while Visa’s revenue increased 11% from 2011 to 2024. Chubb, recently added to Berkshire’s holdings with a $7.95 billion stake, saw its net premiums rise 13.5% in 2023.
Berkshire initially invested in Amazon in 2019, currently valued at $1.98 billion with an average purchase price of $84.20. Visa’s stake, worth $2.75 billion, was purchased at an average price of $52, yielding a six-bagger return. Chubb’s shares were acquired at an average price of $221, already reflecting a 33% gain since its third quarter 2023 entry into the portfolio.
