Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Dominates Global Semiconductor Market
Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC) controls 72% of the pure foundry market, with a major client roster that includes Apple and Nvidia. As of Q3 2025, TSMC generates approximately $122.4 billion in revenue, showing a 35.9% increase from 2024, and boasts a net profit margin of 45%. The company is also projecting a revenue growth of 30% in 2026.
TSMC produces 60% of the world’s semiconductor supply and is working on a $165 billion expansion of its Arizona factory, which will eventually complete three facilities by the end of the decade. In contrast, Intel’s delayed Ohio manufacturing project is expected to cost $100 billion and won’t be operational until 2030.
