Apollo Global Management Inc (APO) has ascended to the #208 position in the S&P 500, overtaking AMETEK Inc (AME) as of the latest rankings reported by The Online Investor. Apollo’s market capitalization is now $64.76 billion, while AMETEK’s stands at $47.96 billion.
Market capitalization is a crucial indicator for investors, providing a comparative valuation of companies by taking into account their share counts. This metric influences investment decisions, particularly for mutual funds and ETFs that may target specific size tiers within the market. On Monday, APO closed down approximately 1.1%, whereas AME gained about 1.6%.
