Core News Facts
Arm Holdings (NASDAQ: ARM) is set to launch its first in-house processor, the AGI CPU, with Meta Platforms as the lead partner and co-developer. The company anticipates this data center processor, optimized for artificial intelligence workloads, will generate approximately $15 billion in annual revenue within five years.
With Arm’s total revenue for fiscal 2025 projected at just over $4 billion, the introduction of the AGI CPU could significantly alter the company’s financial outlook. Management targets total annual revenue of $25 billion by fiscal 2031, supported by a doubling of its legacy licensing business.
CEO Rene Haas mentioned that this pivot into physical silicon allows Arm to capture more value from the industry, appealing to customers less interested in an IP model. However, shares currently trade at a forward price-to-earnings ratio of around 63, raising concerns about valuation risks associated with competition and manufacturing challenges.
