Cotton Prices Climb Ahead of Wednesday’s Closing ت

Cotton futures experienced gains of 15 to 56 points on Wednesday, with May 26 Cotton closing at 68.18 cents/lb, up 56 points, and July 26 Cotton also closing at 70.33 cents/lb, up 56 points. On March 24, the Cotlook A Index was reported at 77.75 cents, down 10 points, while ICE certified cotton stocks increased by 975 bales, bringing the total to 114,665 bales.

Additionally, the Seam reported sales of 2,087 bales on Tuesday at an average price of 68.17 cents/lb. The US dollar index rose by $0.253 to $99.495, and crude oil prices fell by $1.06, nearly $5.00 off their lows. The Adjusted World Price for cotton was raised by 2.72 cents to 54.22 cents/lb last Thursday.
