Soybean futures experienced fractional losses on Thursday morning after a late rally that saw contracts rise by 6 ¼ to 16 ¾ cents the previous day. The cmdtyView national average Cash Bean price increased by 17 cents to $10.98, while soymeal futures saw a decline of 70 cents to $2.60. In contrast, soy oil futures gained 90 to 137 points.
On Wednesday, the White House announced that President Trump will visit China for a rescheduled meeting with President Xi on May 14-15. Additionally, the U.S. is expected to host Xi in Washington, D.C. later this year. Export sales data is anticipated to be released today, predicting sales in the range of 200,000 to 500,000 MT for the 2025/26 crop.
As of the latest data, May 26 Soybeans closed at $11.71 3/4, up 16 3/4 cents but currently down 3/4 cent. The nearby cash price stands at $10.98, marking a 17-cent increase.
