**Arm Holdings Launches New AI-Centric CPU Amid Market Growth**

Arm Holdings (NASDAQ: ARM) has announced its first foray into chip production with the launch of the Arm AGI CPU, designed specifically for AI infrastructure. This marks a significant shift for the company, which has primarily focused on chip design for over 35 years. The new processor boasts 64 CPUs and approximately 8,700 cores, delivering double the performance-per-watt compared to traditional x86 systems. Revenue from the AGI CPU is projected to grow to about $15 billion by fiscal 2031, with total revenue expectations reaching $25 billion for that year, significantly up from $4 billion in fiscal 2025.

In contrast, Nvidia (NASDAQ: NVDA) remains the dominant player in the AI space, holding a 92% market share of GPU-based solutions, valued at $4.2 trillion. While Arm captures about 40% of the cloud data center market, most of its chips are produced by third parties under license, making it a niche player with a current market cap of $167 billion. Analysts remain optimistic about Arm’s trajectory, with Evercore ISI raising its price target to $227, reflecting a potential 45% upside from recent trading levels.
