Cotton prices have increased by 50 to 60 points early on Thursday, following a rally on Wednesday where futures rose by 77 to 137 points. The May 2026 cotton contract closed at 75.11 cents/lb, up 77 points, while July and December contracts closed at 77.42 and 78.35 cents/lb, up 90 and 115 points respectively.
The Seam reported 5,245 bales sold on April 14 at an average price of 72.10 cents per pound. Additionally, the Cotlook A Index rose by 145 points to 85.80 cents, while ICE certified cotton stocks remained unchanged at 159,512 bales. The Adjusted World Price increased by 175 points to 58.74 cents/lb last week.
