Soybean Prices Steady Ahead of Key Trump/Xi Meeting on Wednesday

Soybeans experienced modest gains on Wednesday, with contracts closing up 3 cents at $12.29. The national average cash bean price rose by 3.25 cents to $11.64. Soymeal futures increased by $4.40 to $10.10, while soy oil futures fell by 27 points to 104.

President Trump arrived in Beijing on July 26 for discussions with China’s President Xi, with trade being a key topic. The two leaders are scheduled to meet at 10 AM local time or 9 PM CDT. Additionally, the weekly Export Sales report will be released on Thursday, with analysts predicting 2025/26 soybean sales to be between 100,000 and 500,000 metric tons.

The Rosario Grains Exchange has upgraded Argentina’s corn crop estimate to 50 million metric tons, a 2 million metric ton increase from the previous forecast.
