Soybeans experienced losses on Thursday, with prices dropping between 1 ¼ to 6 ¾ cents. The cmdtyView national average cash bean price fell by 6 ½ cents to $11.30 ½. Soymeal futures also decreased, ranging from $2.30 to $2.80, while soy oil futures were down 19 to 79 points.
In export news, the USDA reported 351,423 MT of 2025/26 soybean sales, marking a 4-week high and a 14.12% increase from the same week last year. Among these, unknown destinations accounted for 171,900 MT, with Egypt purchasing 59,800 MT. New crop sales reached a marketing year high of 172,729 MT, contributing to a total of 509,642 MT, which is still half the amount compared to last year. The Buenos Aires Grains Exchange raised Argentina’s soybean estimate by 1.5 MMT to 50.1 MMT.
Furthermore, soybean meal sales stood at 492,229 MT, aligning with expectations, while bean oil sales were recorded at 1,042 MT. The EPA noted D4 RIN generation at 690 million in April, up from 651.4 million in March.
