Options trading saw significant activity today among major companies in the S&P 500 index. Western Digital Corp (WDC) saw 46,251 contracts traded, equating to around 4.6 million underlying shares—57.8% of its average daily volume of 8.0 million shares. The $600 strike call option expiring on June 5, 2026, accounted for 1,860 contracts, representing approximately 186,000 underlying shares.

Similarly, GE Vernova Inc (GEV) had 13,038 contracts traded today, representing about 1.3 million underlying shares, or 52.9% of its average daily volume of 2.5 million shares. The $1750 strike call option expiring June 18, 2026, saw 885 contracts traded, corresponding to around 88,500 underlying shares.

Alphabet Inc (GOOG) reported an impressive 98,418 contracts traded, translating to approximately 9.8 million underlying shares—50.7% of its average daily volume of 19.4 million shares. The $400 strike call option expiring May 29, 2026, led with 10,050 contracts traded, representing around 1.0 million underlying shares.
