Warren Buffett’s AI Investments
Warren Buffett, known for his hesitance to invest in technology, has expanded Berkshire Hathaway’s portfolio to include three AI-related stocks, now making up 28% of the company’s invested assets. This strategic move follows Buffett’s admission of falling behind in technology insights over the last decade.
Key holdings include Apple, accounting for 21.4% of invested assets; Alphabet, which now represents 6.8%; and Nucor, at 0.3%. Apple has seen a 15% rise in stock price this year, buoyed by strong earnings, while Alphabet’s cloud revenue surged 63%, demonstrating successful integration of AI into its business. Nucor’s earnings per share climbed 382% year over year due to strong demand from data center buildouts.
