Cotton futures experienced losses of 45 to 73 points across most contracts on Wednesday, with July 26 Cotton trading at 76.31, down 73 points. Data from The Seam indicated that 137 bales were sold on Tuesday at an average price of 69.80 cents per pound. The Cotlook A Index increased by 55 points on June 2, reaching 86.2805 cents, while ICE certified cotton stocks rose by 459 bales to a total of 243,450 bales.
Simultaneously, the US dollar index saw an uptick of $0.296 to $99.480, and crude oil prices also climbed by $1.96 to $95.72. The Adjusted World Price for cotton decreased by 519 points last week, settling at 63.49 cents per pound.
