Soybean prices fell by 6 to 9 cents across most contracts on Wednesday, with the cmdtyView national average cash price at $10.97¾, down 9 cents. Soymeal futures decreased by $2.30 to $4, while Soy Oil futures rose by 60 to 80 points.
USDA Secretary Vaden stated that China is expected to fulfill its commitment to purchase 25 million metric tons of U.S. soybeans this year, with initial orders reportedly placed. However, USDA’s Export Sales data indicated no new crop sales to China, registering 317,000 metric tons in sales for the 2026/27 period to unknown destinations.
Upcoming Export Sales data is predicted to show old crop sales between 100,000 and 500,000 metric tons, and 2026/27 sales anticipated between 60,000 and 300,000 metric tons. Soil moisture forecasts through NOAA indicate 1-2 inches of rain across much of the Central/Western Corn Belt, while the Eastern Corn Belt is expected to see minimal precipitation.
