Cotton futures experienced a mixed close on Wednesday, with July contracts down 16 points at 71.1, while December contracts remained unchanged at 75.3 and March 2027 saw a slight increase of 2 points to 76.6. In the same session, crude oil surged by $3.65, reaching $91.85 per barrel, while the US dollar index rose by 0.130 to settle at 100.045.
As of June 9, the Cotlook A Index increased by 40 points to 85.90 cents, while ICE certified cotton stocks fell by 25,818 bales, totaling 231,683 bales. The Adjusted World Price also declined by 29 points last week, now standing at 63.20 cents per pound.
