July arabica coffee prices rose by 2.17%, climbing to $5.40, while July robusta coffee increased by 3.19%, up $107, as of today. Concerns over persistent rain in Brazil, which may delay the coffee harvest, have driven prices to one-week highs, according to forecaster Vaisala.
ICE arabica coffee inventories hit a 6.5-month low of 402,709 bags on Wednesday, while robusta stocks are slightly above a 2-year low at 3,713 lots. The USDA projects a record 2026/27 Brazil coffee crop of 71.9 million bags, an increase of 14% year-over-year, contributing to a global coffee surplus anticipated at 10 million bags.
Vietnam’s coffee exports rose by 7.9% year-over-year to 922,000 MT in 2026 (January-May), while Brazil’s green coffee exports fell by 1.3% to 2.76 million bags in April. Additionally, the ongoing closure of the Strait of Hormuz has disrupted global coffee supplies, tightening availability and driving up import costs.
