In early trading on Wednesday, shares of Salesforce surged by 5.3%, making it one of the top performers on the Dow Jones Industrial Average. Despite this gain, Salesforce has seen a year-to-date decline of approximately 37.7%. In contrast, Caterpillar was the worst performer of the day, falling by 4.9% yet maintaining an impressive year-to-date increase of 76.7%.
Walmart also faced losses, trading down 4.0%, while Microsoft enjoyed a gain of 1.4% on the same day.
