Among the S&P 500 index components, Comfort Systems USA Inc (FIX) recorded significant options trading today with 2,676 contracts exchanged, equating to approximately 267,600 underlying shares. This volume constitutes about 51.1% of FIX’s average daily trading volume of 523,625 shares over the past month. A notable focus was on the $17.40 put option expiring on July 17, 2026, which saw 232 contracts traded, reflecting roughly 23,200 underlying shares.

Occidental Petroleum Corp (OXY) also experienced high options trading with 47,040 contracts, or about 4.7 million underlying shares, representing 47.2% of its average daily volume of 10 million shares. The $195 call option expiring on July 17, 2026, showed notable activity with 10,171 contracts exchanged, representing about 1 million underlying shares.
