Nvidia Reports Record Revenue Amid Strong AI Demand
Nvidia (NASDAQ: NVDA) announced a remarkable 85% increase in revenue year-over-year for Q2 2026, reaching a record $81.6 billion. This surge is driven by substantial investments in AI infrastructure, with projections estimating AI spending to reach $3 trillion to $4 trillion annually by 2030. The company’s stock has appreciated 978% since July 2021, though it has only risen 12% in 2026 to date.
Despite strong demand, concerns are growing over long-term sustainability as key customers, known as hyperscalers, begin developing custom chips to reduce reliance on Nvidia’s GPUs. Analysts predict a significant slowdown in revenue growth, forecasting a 219% increase between fiscal years 2026 and 2029, compared to a 700% growth in the previous three years.
