Cerebras Systems Inc. (CBRS) is advancing its AI capabilities through a partnership with Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) to develop a disaggregated AI inference platform, set to launch in the second half of 2026. The collaboration integrates AMD’s Helios rack-scale systems and Cerebras’ Wafer-Scale Engine, promising up to five times higher tokens-per-second-per-watt than existing configurations. This solution aims to enhance performance for AI applications requiring rapid response and high throughput.

As part of its growth strategy, Cerebras recently reported a 94% year-over-year revenue increase to $193.4 million in Q1 2026, bolstered by a $20 billion deal with OpenAI and a significant partnership with Amazon Web Services. The company’s core revenue guidance for 2026 is set between $855 million and $865 million, reflecting a projected 69% year-over-year growth at the midpoint.

Cerebras faces competition from companies such as CoreWeave and Broadcom, with CoreWeave planning to expand its AI infrastructure significantly by 2030 and Broadcom reporting a 143% rise in AI semiconductor revenues, reaching $10.8 billion in Q2 fiscal 2026. Despite competition, Cerebras shares have surged 31.7% in the past month, significantly outperforming the broader sector.
