Meta Platforms Financial Overview

Meta Platforms (NASDAQ: META) closed at $595.19 on Friday, approximately 25% below its 52-week high of $796.25. The company’s valuation stands at 22 times earnings, lower than the S&P 500’s multiple of about 28.5. In the first quarter, Meta reported a revenue increase of 33% year-over-year, totaling $56.31 billion, alongside a rise in ad impressions by 19% and a 12% increase in average ad price.

Looking ahead, Meta has guided revenue for the second quarter to be between $58 billion and $61 billion, reflecting growth of 22% to 28% compared to $47.52 billion in the same quarter last year. However, this marks a deceleration from the first quarter’s growth. Capital expenditures are expected to rise significantly, with a range now set between $125 billion and $145 billion for 2026, raising concerns among investors regarding the return on investment.
