Nvidia’s Position in the AI Market

Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang urged investors to buy chip stocks during market dips at an event in Seoul, South Korea, in early June. His call comes as Nvidia’s market capitalization, which exceeded $5 trillion last year, has recently declined, losing its title as the most valuable company to Apple.

Huang projects Nvidia will generate $1 trillion in chip sales by 2027, doubling the previous forecast of $500 billion. Meanwhile, CFO Colette Kress estimates AI infrastructure spending will reach $3 trillion to $4 trillion annually by the decade’s end. Nvidia, which reported an 85% revenue increase and a 211% net income surge year-over-year in Q1 2027, is heavily invested in the AI sector, including a $30 billion stake in OpenAI.

In related news, Alphabet announced a mid-range capital expenditure forecast of $200 billion for 2026, indicating continuous growth in the sector. The main question for investors remains whether they believe in the sustainability of the AI revolution.
