Wheat prices experienced early double-digit gains across most contracts after a midweek trading session showed a decline for Chicago SRW contracts, down 1.5 to 3.5 cents. As of September 26, the CBOT Wheat closed at $6.60 3/4 (down 1.75 cents) and is currently up 18.75 cents. KC HRW futures were also lower, declining by 0.75 to 3.75 cents. Additionally, a Ukrainian drone strike targeted a Russian grains export terminal in Taman on the Kerch Strait, further complicating Black Sea traffic. A Reuters survey suggests expectations of 200,000 to 500,000 metric tons of wheat for the 2026/27 period ahead of the export sales report due Thursday, July 23.
