The wheat market experienced declines across major exchanges on September 26, 2023, with Chicago SRW contracts dropping by 27 to 28 cents, KC HRW futures down 26 to 27 cents, and MPLS spring wheat falling by 23 to 24 cents. Total wheat export sales for the 2026/27 period reached 6.979 million metric tons, accounting for 33% of the USDA’s current export estimate, falling short of the 39% average sales pace.
Additionally, as of July 27, the French soft wheat crop was rated 65% good/excellent, with the harvest now complete. Current prices are reported as follows: CBOT Sep 26 at $6.36, CBOT Dec 26 at $6.54 ¼, KCBT Sep 26 at $7.04 ¼, KCBT Dec 26 at $7.20 ¼, MIAX Sep 26 at $6.87 ½, and MIAX Dec 26 at $7.12 ½.
