Cotton futures are trading higher on Friday, with contracts up by 40 to 60 points. As of July 30, ICE certified cotton stocks remained steady at 90,699 bales. The Cotlook A Index decreased by 100 points to 88.75 cents, while the Adjusted World Price increased by 84 points to 64.66 cents per pound.
In export sales, the accumulated business has reached 12.032 million running bales (RB), which is 102% of the USDA’s export projection. Accumulated shipments total 10.908 million RB, or 93% of the USDA estimate, trailing last year’s shipping pace of 96%. New crop business stands at 2.879 million RB, marking a 36.72% increase compared to the same period last year.
